Long talk
I had a long talk with Curt and he has really helped me. We were discussing my passion for investments and the injustice I've been committing to myself by not fully respecting and having faith in it.
I explained to him why I don't seem to have the ability to stick to it. He disagreed and gave several examples supporting the idea that I really have a passion for trading stocks because I'm still pursuing it after many years. I asked him, "How do you stay motivated and focused?" He responded, "By thinking about what this goal will provide me." I thought about financial freedom, reclaiming some of my time, and fulfilling my passion. The idea of reclaiming my time and fulfilling my passion are two factors that he suggested that I always think about to keep me focused.
We spoke about my lack of self confidence and how to deal with it. One critical point that he stressed was that I must be able to look someone in the eye and tell them what I will accomplish. For example, I will be a successful stock trader with flexible working hours and conditions while replacing my current income. I need to have faith in it and respect it. Have the faith to believe its possible for me and put the work in required to bring it to reality. I must believe investing is the vehicle to reach the my goals.
Thanks Curt, you're helping me to defeat the invisible barrier of low self confidence.
